the sunsets are kind of nice but honestly very overshadowed by the fact that the pool feels like a glorified birdbath—absolutley not what you'd expect. plus, when my husband asked for flutes for the champagne, we were told to find them ourselves! wow, what service for a high-end resort. i just couldn’t bring myself to rate this place any higher.

Twyfelfontein vibes 💕
The stay was just lekker! The location’s stunning, our room was super comfy, and the dinner was like fine dining in the bush—those small portions packed a punch! Our guide on the engraving trip was a real chommie, very informative and just made the whole experience better.
The WiFi was a bit slow, but who needs it when you’re in such a mooi spot?

The stunning design of the accommodation at Camp Kipwe captivated me. Nestled among natural boulders, the property felt unique and beautiful. The sunset viewpoint offered breathtaking views, perfect for relaxing evenings. I enjoyed fantastic lunch options that made my stay even more delightful. I faced some issues with the service. Upon check-in, I felt pressured to complete paperwork, which was frustrating after a long journey. The waiter during dinner wasn't accommodating. he could have provided champagne flutes instead of directing us to our room. accessing the camp from Swakopmund was challenging with a 4x4 due to an unclear path. I expected better communication regarding the route, especially for a high-end place. The room itself was darker than I anticipated, lacking the charm I hoped for given the cost.

The food was a real treat, served in gourmet style with dazzling flavors that made my taste buds do the happy dance! Plus, the sunset viewpoint was simply breathtaking—a perfect spot to unwind after a day of adventure. And can we talk about how stunning the design is, nestled among those majestic boulders? It truly felt like a one-of-a-kind escape!
Now, for a cheeky critique—the check-in was a bit of a hassle, felt like we were being rushed. Then there was the guide—a tad rude, which didn’t vibe well with the birthday celebration. Oh, and don’t forget the treacherous access from Swakopmund. it turned our arrival into a mini expedition! Not quite what I expected for such a high-end place.

The accommodation is striking, uniquely nestled among natural boulders, making for a visually fine stay. The sunset viewpoint provides amazing vistas that are perfect for unwinding after a long day.
The access route from Swakopmund is treacherous and poorly marked, particularly if you arrive at night. It took nearly two hours to travel just 2 km with a 4x4. Upon check-in, I felt pressured to hurry through paperwork, which was frustrating after a long journey. The room was darker than expected, lacking the charm and brightness one might hope for from a high-priced stay. The pool is more of a small rock formation than a proper swimming pool, and it gets icy cold quickly. WiFi signal is weak, and only available near reception.
